HOW TO DETERMINE MY CLAIM AMOUNT

General |November 23rd, 2018

If you’ve been involved in a personal injury, you are most likely curious about your claim amount. There are rough estimations ($24,000 in 2013) but each situation can vary greatly. We will explore a few different factors that determine your claim amount.

First, there is a loss of income. Let’s say that you could’ve made 200-400 dollars at your job but you weren’t able to work due to your injuries. You could claim that time/money lost due to your accident. Let us also add in bills. If we assume that it cost 1,000 dollars for medical care, you can add that to your claim. Most law firms that specialize in personal injuries, like AKD LAW, will take your sum and multiply it by four.

Make sure to ask your lawyer what you could make, in a claim that you might have missed. The last thing you want is to lose out on money that you are entitled to.
