Mr. Kelly has 16 years of litigation experience, including more than 30 jury trials. He has handled the successful prosecution of numerous multi-million dollar civil cases, to include obtaining a $17 million verdict in the landmark Louisiana case of Schreiber v. JCC and a $3.25 million verdict in Hampton v. Nix, both personal injury claims in Civil District Court in New Orleans. (See list of recent cases)
In addition to his practice in personal injury law, Mr. Kelly has represented hundreds of homeowners and businesses for property and income losses they sustained as a result of hurricanes, helping them to get millions of needed dollars for home and business repairs and to replace their lost revenues. He places special focus on both his personal injury practice and insurance claims practice on obtaining maximum recovery for clients’ loss of income and earning capacity. Utilizing his educational background in economics, Mr. Kelly frequently works with a team of experts to project income trends and growth potential to account for the maximum potential loss to the client.
